Floorplanner goes offline

September 27, 2007 — Category: News — by : jeroen

Floorplanner and TubesJust returning from the Demofall07 conference in San Diego were we presented a new product in collaboration with Tubes Networks.

Tubes is a new software service that combines social networking features, peer-to-peer sharing, and offline/online synchronization, to create a convenient way of securely distributing content from one person to another, or to a network. Combining Floorplanner with Tubes allows professional users to create Floorplans offline and share relevant files like photo’s and contracts with colleagues who are using Tubes too.

You can find out more about this partnership in these two pressreleases. This new product is available for our larger PRO users as we are still beta-testing and need to make some final adjustments. If you want to be part of this beta , please let us know.

    When I read the post title I thought you were closing the site and nearly departed assuming you’d gone bust. I suggest you need a better title :)

  3. SJ :

    Floorplanner looked very exciting, but I quickly became frustrated. It needs some actual help files in the form of written instructions. The little movies show the cursor dancing around the screen . . . very frustrating. I could not figure out how to duplicate some basic functions that I saw in the movie. Nor, when I saved my test plan and reopened it, was I able to zoom fully out. You have the beginning of something good here, but you should quit adding new features and create some basic help functions. I’ll go back to my commercial floorplan program, which isn’t as pretty, and won’t run in the browser, but DOES have documentation.

    @SJ,

    Thanks for your feedback, you are completely right that we badly need to update our tutorial movies and fix some simple irritations. We’ll work on this, keep an eye on this weblog.

    @Reem,

    Please send us an email to be included in the coming beta of the offline functionality
