First weekend online

April 16, 2007 — Category: General — by : jeroen

Delicious hotlist When we quietly released the international version of Floorplanner.com last friday (the 13th) we didn’t expect it to be picked up that soon but within 1 hour there was a growing stream of visitors creating accounts and floorplans :-)

At one moment we even made it to the Del.icio.us hotlist and got good reviews on a number of weblogs which attracted new visitors especially from Russia and the US.

Our team has been monitoring traffic and created floorplans and allready we done an minor update in order to fix some small bugs. We will add other improvements later this week.

Thank you all for using Floorplanner.com. We are looking forward to your comments and suggestions…..

    hallo,

can you please inform me if your website and floorplanner is available in german!

i´m working for a real estate firm in munich and we are interessed to create our plans with your software! we also want to know if it is possible to print the plans and use it for our commercials!

    regards,
    georg

  2. William White :

    Congratulations on a cool site.
I can’t figure out your scale. The sinks and tubs are not the same etc etc. Some numbers on your grid would be great. It says I can’t draw unless I’m logged in when I am logged in.

    Good luck,

    William

@Georg : Floorplanner is not yet available in German but we are working on it and yes floorplans can be printed or exported to images to be used in brochures or commercials. Please send us an email (floorplanner@suite75.com) directly so we can keep you up-to-date about the German version

@William: The normal grid is 1×1 meter for the metric version or 6×6ft for the imperial version. When you draw a room the measure should appear. All elements can be rescaled by hand btw

  4. Jacco Leppers :

Very nice programme. Got 1 quetion though. Is it possible to delete a wall?

  5. Jacco Leppers :

Have run into 2 problems. Programme isn’t stable when you switch between designs. Second problem is that most of the time i can draw walls but cannot divide a room into laminaat and tiles but this morning it is the other way around.

Still very nice programme and keep up the good work!

  6. Jacco Leppers :

In general I found some problems with the patterns. Sometimes they start blinking and then you can’t do anything anymore. Log out en log in again and the problems with te blinking are gone. And if you move a wall your whole floor will sometimes be covered wth a new pattern.

Overall a joy to work with.

  7. admin :

    Hi Jacco,

Thanks for your feedback and nice words. The things you mentioned are probably all caused by the same error in the automatic area detection. We are working on fixing this nasty bug. We are also working on some improved functionality for and creating single walls and lines and deleting existing walls.

    Jeroen

  8. Nico :

In response to Jacco’s problem of floors covering up other floors: You can delete the unwanted floor by clicking on the trashcan in the floor properties menu. (click on the floor for it to show). Mostly the good floors are still there.
