Migration Account Issue

Recently purchased the Plus plan and have a LOT of feedback for both the original and beta technologies used. However, I’ll save that for when I can draft it intelligently and compare the 2.

The most important issue is how you are handling the migration:

(1) The migration page states, “Your current account will not be deleted but still be available through our main site so there is no chance of losing your existing designs by migrating.”

This is only half true. Getting back to the original designs is an absolute nightmare. There are NO links on the beta site to get back. Additionally, if I go to the original site, I automatically get redirected to the beta site. The only way I could get back to my original account was going through my internet history and trying various links until I found one that didn’t auto-redirect me:

http://www.floorplanner.com/account/personal

This needs to SERIOUSLY be re-thought and redesigned.

(2) The beta is just that, a beta. However, you are treating it like everything should be migrated to it (from the wording on your website to the lack of ability to go back easily), but the beta is still pretty buggy (“fully functional” as stated on your site is NOT accurate as many pieces are either missing or do not function correctly at all times – I’ll post those in detail in the near future).

Having said all that, I have workarounds for the moment. However, can I DELETE my BETA ACCOUNT without it deleting my primary, paid-for account? I’d like to get back to just using the primary site for now.

Hello Shaun,
Thank you very much for this feedback, you’re right about not making it clear how to log in to the current version. We are discussing this right now and will provide some way for this as soon as possible. Again, thank you for this criticism. I would not advise deleting your current beta account at the moment, we’ll keep you posted on the solution we come with.

Hi Shaun,

Thanks to your suggestion we changed the redirect page and added an option to open your design in the old version. Before you go to the redirect page, you may have to empty your browser cache. We hope this solution is clear enough.

MUCH better!!! Thank you so much! That was a good way to handle it also since the redirect is triggered from several aspects of the original site.
