New function: group elements!

Hello everybody!

I am happy to announce that as of today the Floorplanner supports multi element selection. If you select an element while pressing SHIFT or CTRL (Apple key for mac) and then select one more element, both of the elements will be grouped together. This can be repeated for as many elements as you would like. Grouped elements can be moved together, and they can be rotated, mirrored (only horizontal direction for now), colored and locked together as well. If you want to break the group apart you can press the “ungroup” button in the properties form.

We also introduced a glow around selected elements, this makes it easier to see which element(s) you have selected. The normal colour is blue, but for locked elements the glow will be red, indicating that you cannot modify the element.

Please note that as for now groups are not saved in the database, this means that every element IS saved, but is not in a group when you reopen your design.

this is an example of a design that is easy to create using this new function:

have fun!

Great addition! I like it!

I hear you on the saving thing – if grouped elements could be saved, that would be great!
