Clarify terms Project, Plan, Design

Posted on 2009-05-14 18:14 by Anonymous

I’m confused. The Free version is restricted to 5 “designs” for 1 “plan”, right? Is a “plan” a synonym for a “project”?

How do I delete a “design” from a “plan”?

How do I rename a “design”?

Hi,

Thanks for asking this question.

-plan and project are indeed the same, we still have to get rid of these mixups.
-about the restriction of 5 designs per plan; we changed this recently into 1 plan, 3 floors per plan and 3 designs per floor.
- A design can be deleted when it is active. Place your mouse on the floor name to see the design list. Behind the active design you see a red cross to delete the plan.
- To rename a design, use the save menu under the save icon, 2nd icon from left in the top bar. You can type a new name and a duplicate design will be made. Delete the original afterwards.

Hope this clarifies it for you

Thanks for answering, Nico. I had discovered the design deletion procedure.

With a restriction of 3 designs per floor, then renaming is possible only if there are less than 3 designs already created, because the duplicate will add one more design and is going to count in the total.

Hello Tom,

You’re absolutely right. We’ll give this problem some thought. btw. if you still have spave in one of the other floors you can also duplicate them to there (then you can also rename), then delete the original and duplicate it back.

kind regards,
